Vic Hopkins & Son have been providing high quality meat produce to the people of Barry and the Vale of Glamorgan for over 50 years and full traceability is offered on all of our products whether it's Welsh or Scotch Beef, the very best Welsh Lamb or locally produced Prime Pork. Vic Hopkins is now retired but still likes to call into the shop and help out when he can. He started working at the shop in 1960. In those days it was owned by local butcher, the late Aaron Rees, and then Jack Trezise who retired in 1968. This is when Vic took ownership of the shop and the family has been there ever since. Anthony Hopkins, Vic’s son, has been working in the shop since 1984 and took over the reins in 2005 when his father retired. Customer shopping habits have changed dramatically over the years and we’ve adapted our business to suit these changes, whoever thought that we’d be selling meat on The Internet but that’s progress for you!
